What to Wear to the Airport: A Dress!!

The beautiful weather we are having in Texas makes me want to wear dresses every day. Of course, when traveling there are additional considerations when choosing a dress.  TravelSmith has some great dresses right now, both solid and print. Their Voyager Knit line is lightweight, packs well, sheds wrinkles, and has some very cute pieces.  For those of you who love wrap dresses but find the DvF dresses too expensive or clingy, or have issues with the “wrap” part of it, there are some good faux-wrap options here as well.

I also really like this dress, both in the print and the solid black. It’s interesting and not too expensive. The black and white print would be very cute with a colored cardigan and shoes, maybe in pink or yellow.

Another potential staple, this dress is a faux-wrap. They also have colored, print, and 3/4 sleeve options available. I would probably have it hemmed to knee length, or just below. Use jewelry, a scarf, cardigan, fun shoes…..The accessorizing possibilities here are endless!

  1. I usually pair my dresses with strappy shoes or slides. That means you have to walk through security barefoot. yuck. I save the dress for non-airport days plus this way I wear bulkier outfits on travel days and pack the little dress away – lots more room in the suitcase if you wear the layered stuff.
