Spring business travel outfit

It’s finally starting to feel like spring here in Texas. While I know that’s not the case up north (both of my sisters have a ton of snow right now) it put me in the mood for cute skirts and color. I brought in some of my favorites for this comfortable yet stylish business casual ensemble. The striped jersey skirt from Old Navy wears well and packs well, so it’s great for travel. The chambray shirt is a workhorse, and will go over everything from skirts to pants to dresses. A statement necklace in a contrasting color and pearl studs are perfect accessories, and the brown belt helps the shape. Trenches are perfect for spring, and this fuchsia version is sure to perk up your spirits.

If you are traveling to slightly colder climes, add a cardigan, switch out the flats for tights and boots, and bring a heavier coat.

Readers, is it spring where you live? What are you wearing on your trips these days?

  1. Very chic and colorful! It’s perfect weather her in Arizona, but I’m still wearing boots for my trips and just posted my travel outfit from LAX-PHX on Pinterest, which would totally improve 100% with a fuschia trench coat!

  2. Can’t even think about spring yet. I’m still buried in snow. Supposed to get another inch tonight. Which will make the snowiest season in history. We have had about 72.5 inches so far and the current record is 73 inches set in the winter of 77~78. We did not have school for two weeks because of a blizzard that left snow drifts higher than the utility poles in 78. This winter the Kiddo’s have had up to fifteen days off school according to the school district. They will be going to school into June in order to make up days. When the should have had their last day in May.

  3. We had a 2 days of spring like weather here… Melted a bunch of the snow but the ground was too frozen to absorb so now we have ice ponds everywhere because all that standing water froze as soon as the temps dropped back down. My issue is that I travel from these frigid temps to sunny/rainy and 70-80. So I pack for spring/summer but my travel days are all about layers to add or remove as I trade climates. Come on spring! I know you are possible!
