A great post about Female Business Travelers from Fly Gracefully

One of my new co-bloggers on Boarding Area is another young female business traveler. She writes Fly Gracefully, and it seems that we have a lot of similar experiences. She recently posted a list of questions that people often ask her as a woman business traveler. I can relate!

I get “Do you like what you do?” “Will you still do this when you have kids?” “Do you ever make it to your company’s headquarters?” and “Do you ever get to see anything cool when you visit towns?” all the time. Yes I like what I do, but sometimes the hassles of traveling get tiresome. I don’t have kids yet, but I imagine when I do have kids my husband and I will figure out a way to make it work with my job. I meet weekly with my boss, but I haven’t been back to company headquarters in over a year. Sometimes I get to see cool stuff when I visit places, but mostly I am in and out of a town too quickly.

Anyone have other questions? Post them in the comments and I will be happy to answer 🙂

  1. It’s funny because I had to get my hair cut today right after posting that post. The lady cutting my hair went through most of them. I chuckled when she started with the “do you like what you do?”

  2. Same here, I love what I do, but I do take advantage of trying different restaurants. I’ll even get my haircut on the road if need be, but for the most part I’m in and out, sometimes its just nice to be home 🙂
