After sitting on a freezing plane for hours on end, nothing warms you up like a steaming cup of tea. Tea’s comforting properties increase exponentially when it’s cold and blustery outside. My favorite brand of tea is Mighty Leaf, and as I’ve mentioned, I keep bags of Vanilla Bean and Chamomile Citrus with me at all times with I travel. Mighty Leaf was so happy to be included as part of my Top Five Travel Necessities (Hotel Edition) that they contacted me to do a contest for my readers! What a great company.
The gift set is valued at $50, and includes:
They sent me a set as well, so I can vouch for its awesomeness. I have been using the TeaTop Brew Mug, and it is super cool. Watch for a full review later this week!
To enter the contest, write a comment answering the following: What is your favorite travel beverage and why? We will draw a winner at random on Monday December 12. Open to US residents only (sorry international readers!!). As always, only one entry per person.
Check out MightyLeaf on Twitter @MightyLeaf or on Facebook!
Thanks for playing everyone. Good luck!
Chai – easy on the caffeine, delicious and reminds me of far off places.
I love peppermint Tea!It relaxes me instantly especially if I have to work on a powerpoint on the plane or rush to make a connection! Chamomile is also great as a quick sip before bedtime in strange hotel..
Water followed by a warm chai latte or a spicy cinnamon tea.
Bottle of water. I get so dehydrated when I travel.
I am a fan of hot chocolate… kid at heart forever. If I’m at a restaurant and they offer whipped cream on top, I never resist ๐
Black coffee or green tea before 10am, and water after any time after that. As Meghan mentioned above, dehydration is an issue.
I always go for a bottle of water – I always get thirsty when I travel!
I love the Might Leaf Green Tea Sampler! It is the best!
We always take our Klean Kanteens and fill them once we get past security. I have two of the smaller size bottle for my kids – the 3 yo uses a sport cap and the 1 yo has a sippy adapter on his. Perfect!
Before 5: a good hot cup of coffee. Decaf if it’s on the later side, but I am generally so tired when I travel that it doesn’t matter what time it is. I love the smell, I love the taste. What more reason is there?
After 5: a good glass of wine. It’s a nice way to end a day of travel. I do NOT drink wine on planes or during transit, though. Even one glass and I have felt that I didn’t have my wits completely about me, and one needs every last bit of brain cell firing while traveling these days.
Water and sometimes simple black or green tea
Plain water.
Hot water with lemon – flush the system, keep you hydrated!
Coffee or tea – caffeine is usually a necessity while traveling.
Water! I’m a big water drinker in general, but I need even more when I’m flying a lot to keep me feeling healthy.
Bottled water… have to stayed hydrated at all times.
I usually just drink water, but if I’m hungry and flight’s too short for them to sell food, I order tomato juice and convince myself it’s a vegetable!
I love having a glass of red wine to calm my nerves and just relax. However, I have to drink quite a bit of water to ensure I stayed hydrated.
My favorite travel beverage is v8 juice!
Bottle of water, to stay hydrated on the plane.
If it’s a morning flight, I’ll go for a chai latte with a shot of espresso to wake up.
I dislike most waters, so I always have a kleen kanteen and a couple of different beverages – teccino (sp??), green chai, sleepy time teas, lavendar chamomile, and some various green superfoods powder, and other “flavoured” green teas. Wow that is a ton – I am sitting here sipping some green chai:)
My favorite in-air beverage is always Ginger Ale, probably because I only ever drink in on a plane (though I miss days of Vernor’s vs Canada Dry…)
Ginger Ale! Not the healthiest option, but it always makes my day to have that first sip of it on the plane.
I drink lots of water….and a little red wine. But I may have to check out the Mighty Leaf tea!
I usually pack kool-aid, capri-sun packages, its so convient and easy to hold while driving etc.
tea warms you up and offers and the endless variety of options keeps things interesting!
Favorite travel beverage? A good, cold beer at the airport! It’s my signal that I’m on vacation! ๐
All i need is water with fresh lemon. ๐
My beverage of choice when I’m on the road is a fruity smoothie. I never have them whilst home on the weekend. Smoothies are tasty, healthier and more filling & substantial than a typical drink. My appetite is wonky on travel days and the smoothie never rebels against my tummy. Refreshing & light in the warmer months especially. Nom!!!
I love a nice cup of chamomile tea and a hot shower.
Any airplane that I’m on, I order ginger ale. Do I drink ginger ale any other time? Never!
Green tea. Iced during the day, warm in the evening.
Ginger Ale
coffee stay awake
Definitely water but it’s gotta be good quality. I always bring a water bottle to fill at the drinking fountain but than regret it as it seems like I’m drinking recycled pool water. Second to that is definitely iced green tea!
A cold Coke! You can get it everywhere – literally the sweetest refresher! ๐
Cranberry juice. I just always get it and it reminds me of traveling. Habit I guess
Hot tea (with chocolate ๐ anytime!
I like Diet Pepsi for the Caffeine, but it seems like most airlines only have Coke products. Because of that, I usually go with Sprite or hot tea with milk and sugar.
My drink of choice is water!
Hands down water.I carry my Brita filter bottle everywhere and keep it filled all the time.
A stewardess introduced me to a real treat a few years ago. It is ginger ale and orange juice. Tastes like a mimosa with a ginger zing and no alcohol to dehydrate you.
Ginger ale for some strange reason. I never drink it except when flying. What’s up with that?
I love tea as well! Mighty Leaf and Tazo Chai are my favorites.
Water for how dehydrated I get from flying so much.
Iced Tea! I can’t go too long without it and have been so pleased that it has become much easier to find in Europe lately. Can’t get it on many airlines though, unfortunately.
Roobios Chai
I always pack a reusable water bottle & tea bags for a trip!
Coffee in the AM, English breakfast tea rest of the day. And lots of water, especially on planes.
Orange tea is my fave, in my own cup!
