After 18 months of research, Hyatt has recently come out with a new array of offerings geared toward the frequent traveler. The new features are tailored to guests’ individual preferences, and include a service providing frequently forgotten items, healthy new menu options, and upgraded bath amenities. I have experienced all of these firsthand, and I think road warriors and warriorettes will benefit tremendously! (I’ll be doing an in-depth review this week, so stay tuned!)
To celebrate, we are doing a contest and the winner wins one free night at a U.S. Hyatt Place! To enter, please leave a comment answering the following question: The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without is_________. (And let’s be more original than, say, “my computer,” because everyone needs that!) The contest runs through Monday, April 22 at midnight CDT and the winner will be chosen randomly on Tuesday April 23. As always, one entry per person.
The bulkiest item I can’t live without is, no question, my curling iron. My computer is on that list too (of course!) plus my makeup. I’m not sure what it says that 2 out of 3 items are grooming related…..

My bulkiest item I have to pack but can’t live without is my laptop!
My canon dslr and lenses. Got to have quality pictures of my travels!

The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without are dress shoes. so heavy for their size and good for one day? I need to stop going to weddings. which brings me to traveling with a suit. sighhhhhh. why can’t all weddings be on an island with suits optional
My hiking boots, but I’d hate to want to hike somewhere and not be able to. Thanks for the contest!

The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without is tupperwear filled with emergency food in case of any insanity during a trip.
My Tom Tom GPS, I never get them from then car rentals . I take my own each time
The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without is my shoes. In actuality though, the thing I need to fight the most is my desire to overpack.
The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without is my shoes.
The bulkiest item that stays in my suitcase all the time but isn’t always used is my curling iron. It’s also the most awkward to pack if I DO use it because I’m always rushing to get out the door and I don’t want to pack it while it’s still hot. I have forgotten a curling iron in a mini-fridge where I left it to cool off, so having one available would be fantastic.
The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without are my huge dj like headphones…srsly, when traveling in couch, these guys give me some kind of privacy feeling
My 18-200 MM Lens… it is huge, bulky and frequently makes me get a bag check at security… but it sure is worth having when I get to my destination!
The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without is a hairdryer. Travel with my own.
All of my hiking gear! Very hard to pack
the bulkiest item I have to pack and cannot live without is my medicine bag. Not literally, but close to it. It’s like a huge fanny pack that takes up half a backpack or a section of a carry-on. Pain in the butt.
My camera equipment!
Shoes
The bulkiest item I travel with is my Nintendo Wii. It’s also a hassle for TSA, but it’s worth the effort given that I’m never bored after work.
The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without is my dietary supplements. They take up a lot of space.
The bulkiest item I can’t live without and have to pack is hiking boots for sure.
My medication. Pills. Vitamins. 8 different bottles!
Aw someone already took the wife joke. I guess I’ll go with a good jacket. You always need one and never remember until your bag is already full.
The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without are my camera lenses.
my personal laptop (in addition to work laptop)
Depending on where I’m staying, I’ve packed my pillow in my suitcase. It has just the right amount of firmness and softness to it. Bad pillows once ruined a trip for me (neck was in so much pain after sleeping wrong), so if it’s a cheap hotel or friends house, it can be worth bringing.
Cowboy boots.
My computer chargers! They are big and nasty…
The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without is the charging cable to the laptop. You said no computer (which I also despise having to lug, but have to for work purposes) but a close second is the charging cable and transformer block. I would be forever thankful when tablets can be used for my work purposes.
Shoes.
The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without is my running shoes.
My white noise machine so I always get a good night sleep!
The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without is my workout sneakers.
Coat when traveling to a cold destination, otherwise shoes.
Golf bag
The bulkiest item I have to pack and can’t live without are dress shoes. It’s just an awkward shape to pack around.
