Re the first article, as a student pilot I can see myself taking the private plane route, at least for short hops. It is not necessarily that expensive and much less hassle than commercial.
I posted the tall grass article on my flying club’s FB page for discussion. Noticed at my home airport today that 2 guys were actually pulling out the taller plants on the grass by the runway. Guess this idea still has to percolate some more!
