Cooler temperatures are here. Bring on the boots, sweaters, and layers! Of course, those boots, sweaters, and layers make packing way more difficult. That makes a capsule wardrobe incredibly important. I’ve put together ten pieces that can all be worn together, creating plenty of options for a trip. I’ve shown ten outfits below, but I can think of at least four more variations. My base color is navy, with emerald and plum as brighter coordinates. I just love these colors together! There are also some fun trendy pieces, with leopard, booties, and plaid. So vibrant and lovely, yet still professional.
Keep in mind that if I were actually traveling for two weeks I would bring more pieces—but this is the perfect amount of clothing for a week-long business trip. For even more options, pack a blazer or another sweater. This is definitely a business casual wardrobe, so for a more formal variation bring a navy suit with pants, dress, and skirt. If you are going somewhere really cold, change out the booties for knee-high boots. Add appropriate outerwear and you will be good to go!
