I don’t know about you, but 2017 is flying by. Hard to believe it’s already the second half of February! I’ve been lucky and had a slow winter with regards to business travel, but things are about to pick up in a serious way. Luckily over the past few months I’ve gotten a few new things that are great items for business travel. There are a few things I’ve received that I’m waiting to try out, and a few things that are awesome but not for business travel.
HUE Ultra Wide Waistband Leggings. I am firmly in the leggings are not pants category, and IMO for the vast majority of offices leggings as, well, leggings are too casual. That being said, leggings are perfect for wearing in place of tights with a dress and boots when it’s cold. The wide waistband leggings from HUE are amazing, seriously. They are comfortable, opaque, sturdy, and warm. For travel days they are great with a tunic and flats or boots. I got the black ones, but they are also available in dark gray and brown, all for $30. If you are between sizes I recommend sizing down.
Cole Haan Tali Ballet Flat. Yes, I know I talk about Cole Haan shoes a lot, but that is because I love them so much. As I have just worn out yet another pair of Steve Madden nude flats (literally, there are holes in the bottom, again), I decided to spring for a higher quality pair. I love these Tali ballet flats–they are gorgeous, so comfortable on a long day, and go with basically everything. I missed out on another pair of Cole Haan flats that I have had my eye on for a while but I couldn’t justify spending $100 on purple shoes, no matter how cute. (Especially since I just bought a couch. Did you know you can buy a couch on Amazon??)
First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Vital Greens Mist. Oh my goodness. This stuff is amazing. I’ve been in love with First Aid Beauty since I tried their Ultra Repair Cream a couple of years ago, and everything I’ve tried ever since has been wonderful. This cooling mist feels delightful on my skin, especially after a flight. I highly recommend. (Don’t be scared by the green color! It goes on clear.)
Old Navy Single Button Jersey Knit Blazer. I’m lucky that I don’t have to wear suits or blazers regularly, but for the times I need a little extra formality (or warmth) this jersey blazer is perfect. The white and navy stripes are neutral enough to go with most of my wardrobe. It’s very comfortable yet structured enough to add a bit of crispness to my business casual wardrobe. If you are between sizes I recommend sizing down for sure.
A couple of things I’ve recently got that I love but not necessarily for business travel: Saltwater Sandals and Democracy Absolution Jeans. The sandals are adorable, so comfortable, waterproof, and a great alternative to flip-flops. This is my first pair of Democracy jeans, and I’m ready to go get another. They are so flattering and incredibly comfortable. I’ve worn them for travel days, and if I happen to be at the office on jeans-Friday I will definitely wear them.
Readers, have you gotten anything new that’s good for business travel?

You are so right about the Cole Haan shoes. I try to only buy Cole Haan for work now. I’m on my second round of the tali open toe wedge. I re-bought both the beige and the black ones with zero regrets. I live in Florida and travel in the SW region of the US for work so they are pretty perfect most all year long.
