Books, podcasts, and TV shows to watch during travel time

a woman in a pink dressAs I enter the last week of preparation before my India trip I’m turning my attention to the entertainment I’ll need during the one million hours of travel. I’ve gotten a few recommendations, and I’m looking at some of my favorite shows and books to enjoy again. But if you have suggestions for a fun book or podcast, please let me know in the comments!

Here are some of the podcasts I’m enjoying right now, and will definitely listen to on my trip:

Forever 35.  Listening to these two friends talk about skincare products, self care, and life in general is fun, uplifting, and engaging.

Mom Rage. Real talk about the challenges of parenthood that’s both hilarious and relatable.

The Enneagram Journey. The Enneagram is a system of nine personality types that combines traditional wisdom with modern psychology. I am super into it, and love hearing from the various numbers. (I’m a 3, btw, for those of you who know the Enneagram.)

Million Dollar Badass. My favorite business coach, Rachel Rodgers, talks to women entrepreneurs, shares advice, and answers questions. She is always on point and on fire.

Here are some of the books on my list for my trip:

Rich People Problems. I really enjoyed Crazy Rich Asians and China Rich Girlfriend, and I can’t wait to see what Kevin Kwan has come up with for the final of the trilogy.

The Empress Has No Clothes. The memoir of Joyce Roche, an incredibly successful businesswoman who, despite her success. struggles with Imposter Syndrome. This is another book I’m reading with my mentor circle, and I can’t wait to have time to read it all!

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. My sister recommends it, and it has received rave reviews from a bunch of people I know. On the list it goes!

Some the shows on my list to watch (or re-watch):

Schitt’s Creek. Y’all, this CBC show by Eugene Levy and his son Daniel Levy is hysterical. I would laugh until I cried almost every episode. There are four seasons on Netflix, on available on iTunes or through your TV provider, and the final season is being filmed now. I will probably rewatch the whole thing during my trip.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. This show has been recommended to me so many times, and I’m excited to have a chance to download some episodes and watch during my trip.

The Good Wife. My mom and both of my sisters watched this and loved it. I’m going to try it out and see how it goes, lol.

Readers, any suggestions for books to read, podcasts to listen to, or TV shows to watch during travel? Please share!
