In a post before my last trip, I listed out my packing list for Vegas. I forgot one super important thing: the sunburn outfit. Luckily, I was careful enough that I didn’t need it this trip. But on vacation I read this post from Fly Gracefully, and it reminded me that I basically had nothing suitable should I get sunburned.
For any trip where I’m going to be spending time in the sun, I try to remember to bring something loose that doesn’t require straps of any sort to be digging into where a sunburn is. I love this cotton dress from Old Navy. Another option is a skirt with a drawstring waist and a top with a built-in shelf bra. And don’t forget a soft pashmina to drape over your shoulders in case you get cold. Again, nothing digging into the sunburn.
I don’t know why, but I somehow end up having no painful sunburn until the last day of my vacation, when I need the sunburn outfit desperately. They have saved me on many a plane ride home!
