There are a lot of decisions to make when it comes to packing makeup. Do I bring my whole bag or pare down to the essentials? What has to go in the liquids bag? Do I need anything special? My recommendation for business travel will always be that you pare down to the essential items you wear every day and leave the special-occasion makeup at home. That still may take up more space than you have, though.
Enter makeup pencils. While eyeliner, lip liner, and brow shapers have often been pencils, there is a new generation of shadows, concealers, and lipstick that come in pencil form. They are great because they take up less room, are fast and simple to use, and don’t need to go in the liquids bag. I love the Almay Intense I Color Stick, the Nars Velvet Lip Pencil, and the L’Oreal Crayon Concealer.
