Travel tip of the week:

• Only bring three pairs of shoes with you, including the pair on your feet. Shoes take up the most room and weigh the most out of anything in the suitcase.  Unless you’re going to be gone for a month or more there is no reason you need more than three pairs.  I usually bring two pairs of work shoes plus a pair of flip-flops or running shoes.

Week in review:

• It’s easy to load up your suitcase without realizing how top-heavy it is! Keep a hand on it, just in case, for good travel etiquette. Travel etiquette tip: Watch for top-heavy luggage.
• As the polar vortex crosses the nation use layers to make summer dresses appropriate for fall. One dress, two ways—wear the same dress for different climates.
