2018 Summer Business Travel Beauty Must-Haves

Last week one day the temperature in central Texas reached 110 degrees. We’ve had almost 30 days over 100 this year, and we’ve still got a close-up of a wet wipeover a month left of summer. Yowzer! It is hot, not just here but all over the country. It can be hard to look professional when you combine the craziness of business travel with intense summer heat. Here is my updated list of summer business travel beauty must-haves.

My new favorite beauty item are the Garnier Micellar Wipes. Great for hot days, but especially great for long travel days. I don’t have to wash my face–can just use a wipe, moisturize, and fall into bed. They’re also great at getting my mascara off. Win!

I still love the Mac False Lashes Waterproof Mascara  that I got as part of a Birchbox a year ago. I’ve tried other samples that have come in but keep going back to this one. My lashes look long, full, and gorgeous all day without smears.a tube of baby skin

The Smashbox Photo Finish Primer has been so good to me, but I’ve switched to the Maybelline Baby Skin primer. It’s only $6, so I have no problem using it all over my face, plus using it as anti-chafing gel when I’m traveling. One product, double duty–that’s always the goal.

While the  Supergoop! Tinted CC Cream with spf 40 is fantastic, but (I *hate* saying this) I need a little more help in the skincare a close up of a bottledepartment than I used to. I started using the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Illumination cream and I get compliments all the time about how great my skin looks. It has anti-aging properties and sunscreen, evens out my skin tone, and gives me a bit of a glow. I really need that after a late night arrival!

Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo is still my favorite dry shampoo, especially for travel. It smells great, disappears quickly, wicks up excess oils, and gives my hair nice body. Great for the mornings after a late client dinner!

Anti-chafing gel of some sort is still a requirement every day in the summer. While I still use Monistat Chafing Relief Powder Gel at home, I’ve started using the Maybelline Baby Skin primer on the road. It works just as well, but again–packing fewer items is always the goal.

Readers, what summer business travel beauty products you are loving these days?

  1. 110 degrees? OMG! That’s super hot. I recently discovered Micellar water a few months ago. It works like a charm! I’m yet to try Smashbox Photo Finish Primer but I hear it’s amazing.
