Your child’s birthday coming up? Look no further for the perfect gift! The Playmobil Security Check Point will provide your family with hours of fun. It includes a passenger, two TSA agents, a luggage scan, and metal detector. Whether you’re trying to explain to your kids why you have to leave so early for flights, or teach them about the super fun security line they’ll experience on their next trip to Disneyland, this set delivers.
Seriously, this is a real toy. The manufacturer’s description:
The woman traveler stops by the security checkpoint. After placing her luggage on the screening machine, the airport employee checks her baggage. The traveler hands her spare change and watch to the security guard and proceeds through the metal detector. With no time to spare, she picks up her luggage and hurries to board her flight!
The reviews are priceless, including such gems as, “Without a full-cavity search option there is just not enough value here for the price. Hopefully the manufacturer will get it together.” And, “I wanted to find the perfect toy for teaching my child at an early age about the dangers of travel and terrorism, but never could find the perfect way. Sure, there was Barbie’s Dream Hijacking play set, but my son was reluctant to play with a doll, even if it involved a pat down.” My favorite:
If you have a few minutes to kill today, go read the reviews. I cried laughing from some of these last night.
Happy Friday!

The comments on Amazon made my day – thanks for sharing!
It seems like a bizarro toy, but my first thought when I saw this is that it could be a really great teaching tool for those with autism or anxiety disorders. I researched and wrote a blog post (50 tips for Autism and travel) & I have to remember to add this as an idea! Thanks for pointing it out!
I’ve had this in my office for years…
Seriously, though, PlayMobil is THE BEST. My kids (high school and college ages now) loved PlayMobil all through childhood and I am seriously considering this as a gag gift for one of them.
Is it bad that I seriously thought my 2 year old would love this? He is always so fascinated by what happens at security when we travel.
