It’s been a while since I’ve done “What to Wear to the Airport,” and I have a feeling I’ll be doing another one soon for fall clothes. But I just had to write about this cardigan. The Merona Women’s Classic Cardigan Sweater is the perfect cardigan for summer. It is opaque, not sheer, but is light enough to not be too hot. It is crewneck, which is (in my opinion) easier to wear with varied necklines than v-neck. It has 3/4 sleeves, and it’s long enough for me (I have a loooong torso) without verging into boyfriend sweater or tunic land. And I swear, you can crumple it in the bottom of your purse or laptop bag during travel, pull it out on the plane to wear, and it won’t be wrinkled at all. There are a ton of prints available, and the price is incredible: $19.95 for the solid colors. I honestly can’t say enough about this sweater. I have the black one, and am going to go back and get one in every color! Love love love.
A more expensive option is the classic Agnes b cardigan (http://usa.agnesb.com/en/shopping_online/product/women/cardigans-2/snap-cardigan/000). They exist in about 10 different colors in the stores and are timeless and indestructible. They exist in cotton and in wool.
