It’s Friday!! And you know what that means….. I get to write about clothes! I love Friday.

Earlier this week, an old friend asked for help on an outfit. “I’m doing a presentation, and I’m so tired of slacks and button-downs! What can I wear instead that’s professional, comfortable, and really cute?” Road Warriorette to the rescue!! I suggested a patterned top and cardigan, but she said I needed to be more specific. After perusing some of my favorite sites, I found this great ensemble from Ann Taylor. The blouse is lovely, the pattern and ruffles adding interest without being overwhelmingly girly. (Which is good, because this friend is not a girly-girl!) By itself, it would be great for the weekend or under a suit. Topping it with the silk-cashmere-cotton blend sweater, which comes in tons of color options and is on sale, makes it not only work appropriate but comfortable for travel as well. I would pair it with (you guessed it) gray slacks, and a pop of color for the shoes, maybe yellow. It would also work well with black or camel slacks or a skirt. So many options!
