A suitcase for every budget

Briggs & RileyEvery business traveler needs a great suitcase! At  the same time, not everyone can afford to spend upwards of $500 or more. Here are my favorite carry-ons across a range of budgets.

$100-$150 Ogio Layover. My first business travel suitcase was on Ogio. It went all over  the world with me for over five years and held up great. The latest version has all of the  great features of mine–lots of room, plenty of pockets, sturdy construction–and weighs even less. Available for $110.

$250-$350 Victorinox Werks 20”. This is the suitcase I got a couple of years ago, and I loooove it. It is so incredibly lightweight and maneuverable, but will hold an unbelievable amount of stuff. They also have a great warranty! Available for $277.

$400-$500 Briggs & Riley Baseline Upright Garment Bag. If you want  top-notch quality, durability, and warranty, Briggs & Riley is the brand for you. My brother-in-law is a lawyer, and has to travel frequently with suits. This is his bag of choice–he  says it holds more than any garment bag he  has tried, with the least amount of wrinkling. Available for $499.

  1. I love my Ogio Layover. It is the best bag ever! No matter if I carry on or check it, it has never failed me.
