Poll:  When on business trips, do you eat lunch?

a man in a suit and tie

Recently I was driving to work, listening to the radio, and I heard a story about minifasting.  Essentially minifasting is going about fifteen hours without eating, twice per week (consult your doctor before trying something like this).  The idea is that it’s supposed to help you lose weight better than some traditional low fat diets.  Studies…

My experience with balancing business travel and family: a response to Daily Worth

There is always a lot of discussion about balancing work and family as a woman, but lately it seems I can’t check my Facebook or Twitter feed without seeing a new perspective. It started with Sheryl Sandberg’s famous (infamous?) Lean In, then the realistic yet depressing piece by Anne-Marie Slaughter “Why Women Can’t Have It…

a black suitcase with silver handles

Going through security at an airport can be a frustrating experience, to say the least.  Travelers just want to get through as quickly as possible so they don’t miss their flight, and on a good day have time to grab a bite to eat before boarding.  But no matter how badly you want to get…

Packing for different climates

a woman's outfit with different types of clothing

Seems like I’ve been spending all of my time in cold weather locales lately. Not that I mind wearing tights and bootsevery day for every trip (exactly), I’m just really ready to enjoy some warmer weather. Luckily my trip next week takes me to two very different climates. As always, I refuse to pack extra…
